The Revolution scored 11 runs in the third inning Saturday evening and beat the AZ Heat 13-0 in the 12u title game of the USSSA Easter Classic baseball tournament at Victory Lane.

The Revolution started quickly, taking a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Isaiah Leach scored on an RBI by Cole Reasons, who was driven in by Hank Bergquist.

The Heat tried a spirited rally in the third. Jose Lopez walked and stole second and third. Nacho Estrada singled and stole second. But the Revolution kept the Heat off the scoreboard.

In the bottom of the third, the Revolution broke open the game.

Parker McKinsey started the inning off with a double and scored on Leach’s RBI single to center. Bergquist drove in two more runs with a single to left, making it 5-0.

Bases were loaded when McCain Schellhardt stepped up and singled, driving in Niko Piazza. The Revolution scored four more times before Bergquist hit a three-run homer to finish off the game by run rule.
