Isac Esparaza hit a two-run homer, and Los Rage beat the Desert Demons 9-4 Sunday at Big League Dreams in Gilbert for the 14uAA championship of the USSSA May Madness Classic baseball tournament.

Angel Andrade threw a complete game for the Rage. Kyle Camerena had two-run triple. James Ciada hit a 3-2 pitch for a two-run double, and Preston Rohman hit a two-run double.

Anthony Perez’s three-run blast lifted the Rage into the championship game.

“This is the most resilient team I have ever coached,’’ said coach Mike Camerena, who has coached for 13 years, six at the club level.

For the Demons, Wyatt Fortney started a three run rally with a walk, and Jack Peck capped it with a three-run double.

Luis Perez struck out five, and the Chandler Renegades beat the Superstition Tigers 10-2 in the title game.

Kody Funderburke hit a three-run double to spark the Renegades, a 13u team playing up. Manny Estralla and Jacob Gonzales each went 2-for-2 for the victors.

Nate Benjamin and Rigo Leon turned in strong pitching performances as the Oro Valley Wildcats beat the Scottsdale Saints 13-8 for the title.

The Wildcats pounded out 11 hits to help offset their five errors.

Keaton Hubbs hit a homer and threw a complete game as the AZ Wildfire beat the EV Snipers Gold 13-0 in championship.

Hubbs struck out five and allowed one hit in a game that was called after three innings because of the run rule. Tanner Wickham and Jacob Perez each went 2-for-2 in the victory.
