Roundup of title games from the USSSA State Championships baseball tournament Sunday at Victory Lane and the Peoria Sports Complex.

Arizona Heat 8, Monsoon 3

Sam Huff hit three homers, including one in the championship game, and the Heat beat the Monsoon at Victory Lane for the 12u Majors title.

“As always it was a great team effort,’’ coach Mark Daus said. “It’s great to finish by winning a tournament like this.”

The Heat will head to Omaha next week to play in a tournament there and then “enjoy the College World Series,’’ Daus said.

Alex Roth and Ryan Franklin split the pitching duties in the victory.

Nacho Estrada tripled and singled for the Heat. Luis Mendoza singled twice and scored twice.

Arizona Broncos 9, Arizona All-Stars 0

Blaze Bohall pitched three shutout innings and hit a triple and a single as the Broncos beat the All-Stars in the 13u Majors championship game at Victory Lane.

Alex Verdugo hit a homer and a triple. Brant Chapin doubled for the Broncos, and Connor Rochon walked, singled and scored twice. Adrian Zubia singled and scored, and Chris Ashton walked and scored.

Hoyas 13, Spin Doctor 1

Antonio Coronado struck out four batters and drove in three runs as the Hoyas beat Spin Doctor Baseball in the 13u AAA final at Victory Lane.

Oliver Henniger hit two doubles and Valentine Gonzales had key hits for the Hoyas.

Flagstaff Mini-Peaks 3, CBC Copperheads 1

Ray Crank pitched a complete game and drove in two runs in the 13u AA title game, leading the Peaks past the Copperheads at Victory Lane.

Damian Alarcon drove in the Peaks’s other run. Tanner Furman made a great catch in left for the Peaks. Jordan Lopez made several strong plays at short, and first baseman Matt Cierri made a diving catch in the final inning.

“It was a great game,’’ coach Mike Alarcon said. “The Copperheads are a class act.”

Arizona Broncos 10, Litchfield Park Tigers 2

Ryan Saltonstall homered and tripled in the 12u AA title game at Victory Lane, leading the Broncos past the Tigers.

The Broncos broke open a tight game with a six-run inning.

Johnny Fajardo had a triple and walk for the Broncos, and Jackson Cassidy was hit by a pitch. Dan Fischetti singled and scored, and Bobby Coffman walked and scored a run.

Rio Rico Dragons 8, Chandler Bulldogs 3

Junior Dominguez struck out six to lead the Dragons to the 11u AAA title over the Bulldogs at Victory Lane.

Dominguez went 2-for-3 with a double. Gerardo Lopez and German Rodriguez each went to 2-for-3, and Sean Fanning homered.

BBIG 13, Reds 6

After falling behind early, BBIG came back and nabbed the 16u title at the Peoria Sports COmplex with a victory over the Reds.

Trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth, the BBIG offense exploded for seven runs to take a commanding 11-6 lead. Max Tutalo started the inning with a bunt single and advanced to second when Sam Hammlett was hit by a pitch. Following the hit batsman, Nick Chapman gave BBIG the lead for good, nailing a three-run inside-the-park home run to deep left-center.

Hunter Miller and Jake Luna then followed the big shot with back-to-back singles. Miller scored a batter later on a ground-rule double by Kellen Marruffo to give BBIG an 8-5 lead.

After an intentional walk to Jesus Arbizu, BBIG picked up two more runs when Forrest Redd reached on an error. BBIG made it 11-5 when Aribzu scored on Brandon Cooke’s RBI single.

The Reds cut the BBIG lead to 11-6 in the top half of the sixth. Brian Lietz reached base on an error and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Luis Quinonez.

BBIG responded with two insurance runs in the bottom half of the inning. Following a walk to Richard Soto, Kiki Silva reached on an error, but Reds’ leftfielder Isaiah Deutsch threw out Soto as he attempted to advance to third on the play. After Silva scored later in the inning on a pass ball, Jake Luna hit an RBI single to give BBIG a 13-6 lead.

The Reds jumped on top first, taking a 5-0 lead in the top of the first. Benji Ayala started the scoring when he singled, stole a base and eventually scored on a pass ball.

Dallas Martinez knocked in two with a single later in the inning to give the Reds a 3-0 lead. Deutsch and Quinonez also scored in the inning.

BBIG scored its first two runs in the bottom of the first on a two-run double by Alfonso Pachero and added two more runs in the second inning on a two-RBI single up the middle by Chapman.

AZ Toros 9, AZ Athletics 1

The Toros overcame a slow start in Peoria to outslug the Athletics for the 14u Majors title.

The Toros scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie. Alex Robles started off the inning with a leadoff triple. Following a walk to Rubin Bracamonte, both runners scored on Ryan Ramswaer’s two-RBI single.

Austin Baldwin added a two-RBI single later in the inning to give the Toros a 6-1 lead.

The Athletics got on the board first, plating a run in the top of the second. Connor Gorman singled and advanced on a sac-bunt by Cody Gorman before scoring on an RBI single by Justin Kosovich.

The Toros responded with one run in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI single by Matt Bushman.

After plating one run earlier in the bottom of the sixth, the Toros sealed the run-rule victory with a two-RBI single by Luis Gonzalez.

Robles picked up the victory for the Toros, pitching a complete game. He struck out two and walked five.

Clash Sun Devils 6, Inside Pitch 2

The Clash used a steady offense and solid pitching to claim the 14u Open championship in Peoria.

Daniel Casey scored on a single by Ryan Giudice in the bottom of the second inning to give the Devils a 1-0 lead.

The team increased the lead to 5-0 with four runs in the third. Grant Smith walked to load the bases before Casey plated two with a single to center. The Devils picked up two more runs on a two-RBI single past second by Zack VanTress.

Casey gave the Clash one more insurance run in the fifth when he singled and scored when the ball got by the centerfielder.

Inside Pitch scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh back-to-back triples by Tyler Heidemann and Ryan Gowens.
