The Arizona Firebirds fight to stay alive Tuesday in the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington N.M.
The Firebirds will play Longshots Baseball from the Chicago suburb of Downers Grove at 5:15 p.m. New Mexico time in an elimination game.
The Firebirds lost their opener Friday night to the East Cobb Yankees 3-1. The Firebirds’ run came in the final inning when Steve Casey grounded to second to score Jake Peevyhouse.
Longshots won their opener, beating the Puerto Rico Raiders 3-1. The host Strike Zone Cardinals sent Longshots into the losers bracket Monday with a 7-1 pasting. |
