Mountain View Little League repeated as Arizona State Senior Little League champions (ages 14-16) with a hard fought 8-5 victory over Casa Grande Little League at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson.

It was Mountain View's 3rd Senior Division championship in the last five years.

Dylan Cozens hit a 2-run homer in the first inning, and five Mountain View pitchers limited Casa Grande to seven hits to advance MVLL to the Western Regional tournament in Ontario, California. They will open against Hawaii.

Matt Lewis got the win on the mound for MVLL while Cozens (three hits), Lucas Jacobi (two hits) and Greg Hopkins (two hits) led the offense.

The winner of the Wester Regionals qualifies for the Senior Little League World Series in Bangor, Maine.

MVLL has won seven Little League state championshps in the past 12 Years as well as one Little League World Series title.

The manager is Steve Erickson. Coaches are  Jim Ditroia, Harry Boysen and Rory Rickert.
