Keaton Boysen and Cody Erickson combined a five-hitter Sunday earning Mountain View Little League a spot in the Western Regional semifinals Monday night.

MVLL scored five runs in the second inning and defeated Union City (Northern Calif.) Little League 6-4. Their game Monday is at 7 p.m.

Boysen (5 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 2 HBP) and Erickson (2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K) kept the Union City offense in check for most of the day.

In the MVLL second, Erickson and Jimmy Ditroia started the inning with singles, followed by an RBI double by Joey Mandros, a two-RBI single by Michael Salazar and an RBI triple by Keaton Boysen. An RBI double by Dylan Cozens gave MVLL an early 5-0 lead.

Erickson's RBI single in the fifth finsihed the scoring for MVLL.
