Arizona Revolution doubles its state titles. That and more, brought to you by the Arcadia Tavern.

1. Two titles: The Arizona Revolution, which won the Pee Wee Reese (12u) baseball title last weekend, claimed its second state title of the summer. The Revolution won the PONY Bronco division crown earlier this summer behind Cole Reasons, who hit .850 with seven homers.

2. Third trip: With the Reese title, the Revolution earned a trip to Puerto Rico for the Pee Wee Reese World Series. This will be the team’s third trek out of state. The Revolution played at Cooperstown and played in the NABF World Series in Mississippi.

3. Dominant organization I: All-Star Baseball Academy won the Sandy Koufax (14u) and Mickey Mantle (16u) state titles and took second in the Don Mattingly (17u) and Connie Mack state tournaments. The ASBA Mantle and Mattingly clubs were a playing against teams a year older.

4. Dominant organization II: The Angels won the Mattingly and Mack titles and finished second in the Mantle tournament. Last season, the Angels took the Mattingly World Series.

The List for Wednesday:

1. Calling it quits: After years of coaching and umpiring, All-Star Baseball Academy coach Jeff Spring has decided to hang it up. Spring was honored during the Connie Mack state final Saturday. He has spent the past 10 years working with ASBA.

2. Rare rain: The skies were cloudless Saturday almost everywhere in the Valley — except over the Surprise Recreation Complex. The Connie Mack state championship game got poured on. It was not enough to stop the game, but enough to send The Ledger photographer back to the car to keep the camera dry.

3. Strong wind: With any summer storm in Arizona, the wind picks up. One ASBA player yelled to the hitter, “Let the Gale Force be with You.”

Three stars of the weekend:

1. Travis Flores hit the game-winning homer as the Angels Red won the Connie Mack baseball state title.

2. Hank Bergquist homered to give the Revolution a run rule victory and the Pee Wee Reese state title.

3. Winning pitcher Luis Arriola went four innings and gave up no earned runs in the Willie Mays state championship game.
