The God's Children Cowboys of Buffalo bounced the Chandler Pumas into the losers' bracket Monday with a 31-0 rout in the first round of the AYF Cadet National Championships in Orlando.

The Cowboys dominated the game from the start, scoring on a 74-yard run on their first play from scrimmage and never looking back.

It was on defense, though, that the 'Boys from Buffalo were at their best. They beat the Pumas off the ball at the kine of scrimmage all game, holding Chandler to 37 yards in the first half. They also scored on a 31-yard return of a fumble at :54 seconds left in the half to take a commanding 19-0 lead at the intermission.

The Pumas were able to hold the Cowboys scoreless in the third quarter, although they managed just -5 yards on offense. The 'Boys scored four plays into the fourth quarter for a 25-0 lead, then added a final TD later in the quarter.
