Moon Valley graduate Chris McGaha entered Saturday’s game against USC at No. 6 on the ASU career receiving list and left as No. 4.

McGaha had nine catches for 118 yards and ASU’s only touchdown in the 14-9 loss in the Trjoans. That gave him 160 catches in his four years with the Sun Devils. He passed Shaun McDonald and John Mistler , who had 156 each. He will  likley pass Eric Guilford (164) and has a shot at catching John Jefferson (188).

The career leader is Derek Hegan with 258.

McGaha’s touchdown came late in the third quarter on a 23-yard play.

"Chris ran a great route and set up his defender perfectly and the line gave me time to make the throw,’’ quarterback Brock Osweiler said. “They made my job easy on that play."

McGaha has 48 catches for the season. His career best was in 2007 when he had 61.
