Triple G beat the Phoenix Phenoms 32-27 Sunday in the Phoenix Phenoms Spring Shootout girls basketball 15u championship at Arcadia High School.

Batabe Zempare scored two for the Phenoms in the fourth to pull her team within one, 27-26, but Triple G put the game away at the line, especially three free throws by Michelle Luna.

Phenoms Megan Gillespie and Bailee Brown sank three-pointers in the first quarter before Triple G adjusted.

“They had some great shooters,” Tripe G coach John Lupoe said, “and we respect that (so) we keep the ball out of the shooters’ hands. The key is to keep pressure on whoever has the ball.”

Ashley Adson scored seven for Triple G, including a three-pointer in the third quarter.
