Chancise Walkins of Palo Verde Valley won the boys 200 and 400 meters Friday in the open competition of 70th Chandler Rotary Invitational track meet at Chandler High School.

Walkins finished in the 200 in 22.33 seconds and the 400 in 49.59 in the first day of the oldest continuous high track meet in Arizona. The meet continued Saturday with the seeded portion of competition.

Three Williams Field athletes won or shared first in boys events and three Cibola athletes won girls events.

Aaron Hill of Williams Field won the boys long jump with a leap of 21 feet-5 inches and tied with Larson Tyler of Horizon for the high jump honors at 6-6. Tim Butticci of Williams Field won the triple jump.

Larson tied teammate Grant Sisserson for the best pole vault height. Both cleared 13 feet, but Sisserson won on fewer misses.

Cibola girls winners were Nicolette Monroe in the 200 (25.99), Monica Houston in the 1600 (5, minutes, 28.69 seconds) and Dezarae Rodriguez in the pole vault (8-06).
