Jasmine Todd of the Arizona Cheetahs continued her dominating track season, winning two events last weekend at the USATF Arizona State Championships at Mesa Community College.

Todd, who won three individual events in leading Chandler High School to the 5A-I high school championship, won the young women’s (18u) 100 meters (12.20) and the long jump (18 feet, 8.5 inches).

Kayla Freeman, competing unattached, won the young women’s 1500 (5:00.39 ) and 3000 (11:15.02) .

Carter Brown of the Arizona Flames won the young men’s 100 (11.19) and 200 (22.99).

Jeremy Tuttle, competing unattached, won the young men’s javelin in an impressive 60.12 meters, or 197 feet, 3 inches.

Mason Simmons, unattached, edged out Tuttle in the discus (166-11 to 161-9) and won the hammer throw (123-8).

Intermediate (16u)

Travis Colby of the Arizona Pumas won three boys events, taking first in the high jump (5-10.75), shot put (47-4.25) and javelin (179-2).

Mark Matiski of the Phoenix Bobcats won the boys 400 (50.16) and the 800 (1:56.64). His 800 time bettered the listed USATF Arizona record of 1:57.23 set by Michael Hilbe in 2001.

Shamaon Bailey of Arizona Elite won the girls triple jump (34-09) and the long jump in an impressive 18-9.75.

Devon Allen of Arizona Rising Suns won the boys 100 (11.01) and 200 (22.28).

The Arizona Cheetahs had a double winner in Alexis Roberts, who won the girls 200 (25.34) and 400 (59.64).

Youth  (14u)

Bryce Perkins of the Arizona Cheetahs won three boys events, taking first in the 100 hurdles (15.31), the 200 hurdles (28.40) and the long jump (18-0.50)

Tim Duckworth of the Phoenix Bobcats won the boys high jump (5-5) and pole vault (9-5.75).

Oche Myers of Arizona Risings Suns won the boys 100 (11.75) and 200 (23.54).

Nathan Rodriguez, competing unattached, won the boys 800 (2:08.01)  and 1500 (4:24.33)

Takerra Waters of the Cheetahs won the girls 100 (12.77) and 200 (26.33).

Midget (12u)

Stacey Boyd of the Arizona Cheetahs won the boys 100  (12.82) and 200 (25.99).

Cade Burks of the Arizona Cheetahs won the boys 1500 (5:06.58) and 3000 (11:13.92).

Cayley Hensley, unattached, won the girls 1500 (5:23.96) and 3000 (12:26.00).

Bantam (10u)

Zaire Chest and Anna Foreman were double winners for the Arizona Cheetahs.

Chest won the girls 100 (14.20) and 200 (30.11).  Foreman won the girls 400 (1:07.03) and 800 (2:41.40).

Marquis Griffen of the Arizona Titans was a double winner in the boys sprints, winning the 100 in 13.50 and the 200 in 28.04.

Sub-bantam (8u)

The boys and girls sprints produced double winners.

Jadyn Mays of Arizona Rising Suns won the girls 100 (15.47) and 200 (32.28). Dominique Davis of the Arizona Flames won the boys 100 (15.16) and  200 (32.54).
