Two athletes broke USATF state track and field records last weekend at the Arizona Junior Olympics meet at Mesa Community College.
Katie Penney of Go The Distance won the young women’s 800 meters in 2 minutes, 14.73 seconds, breaking the listed record of 2:15.92.
Travis Colby of Arizona Puma won the intermediate boys javelin in 189-09, besting the listed state record of 186-8.
Colby also won the shot (46-08.25).
Ky Westbrook of the Arizona Cheetahs won the youth girls 100 (12.26) and 200 (25.48), and the Cheetahs took the top four spots in each of those races. Teammates Tope Williams (12.73), Takerra Waters (12.73) and Taylor Patton (13.09) followed Westbrook in the 100. Waters (26.26), Imani Adams (26.90) and Williams (27.10) followed Westbrook in the 200.
Aubree Incardone of the Arizona Flames won the midget girls long jump (15-02.75), the 80-meter hurdles and high jump (4-03.25).
She also won the pentathlon held two weeks earlier that was considered part of the meet, rolling up 2783 points.
Tevin Blaylark of the Arizona Panthers won the young men’s 110 hurdles (14.31) and long jump (23-05.25) and triple jump (48-07.50).
Jasmine Todd of the Arizona Cheetahs won the young women’s 100 (12.05), long jump (18-04.50) and triple jump (38-10.50)
Tevin Mayfield of the Arizona Cheetahs won the youth boys 100 hurdles (13.97) and 200 hurdles (25.96) and long jump (20-02.25).
Jaide Stepter of Pops won the intermediate girls 200 (25.45) 100 hurdles (15.05) and 400 hurdles (1:05.93)
Bantam (10u)
Ana Foreman of the Arizona Cheetahs won the bantam girls 400 (1:07.28) and 800 (2:37.5) .
Marquis Griffin of the Arizona Titans won the bantam boys 100 (13.57) and 200 (27.50). Malcom Williams of Pops won the bantam boys 400 (1:05.75) and long jump (13-07.75). Carlan Naisant of the Arizona Flames won the bantam boys shot (24-01.00) and javelin (126-08).
Midget (12u)
Lashira Tremble won the girls 100 (13.07) and 200 (27.05). Drianna Mustin of the Arizona Rising Suns won the girls 400 (1:01.53) and 800 (2:31.46). Cayley Hensley of Pops won the girls 1500 (5:21.46) and 3000 (11:35.06).
Tavian Ross of the Arizona Titans won boys 400 (1:00.34) and 800 (2:26.99). Cade Burks of the Arizona Cheetahs won the 1500(5:14.69) and 3000(11:30.98).

Alysoune Coleman of the Arizona Flames won the girls 400 (59.51) and 800 (2:23.07). Taylor Patton won the girls long jump (14-11.25) and 200 hurdles.
Oceh Myers of Arizona Rising Suns won the boys 200 (25.53)and the 400 (53.22). Mufasa Guerrero of Coldwater on the boys 1500 (4:53.52) and 3000 (10:30.24)

Julianna Vanderhout of the Arizona Flames won the girls 1500 (5:06.68) and 3000 (9:02.14). Ashlee Moore of the Arizona Flames won girls high jump (5-05) and triple jump (36-02.25).
Nathan Riech of Bears won the boys 800 (2:05.35) and 1500 (4:15.61). Zachary Peschke of Red Rooster won the boys long jump (21-04) and triple jump (43-11.75). Rogelio Garcia of Mustang Track Club won the boys discus (139-06) and hammer throw (119-03).

Cadijah Harris of the Arizona Cheetahs won the girls high jump (5-07) and 100 hurdles (14.93).
