Arizona athletes have won three events so far at the USA Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Ypsilanti, Mich.

Chase Cord and Rebekah Green of the Northwest Xpress  won bantam (10u) triathlon titles Wednesday. Green won the girls title with 960 points. Cord took home the boys title with 846 points

On Tuesday, Kristina Vanderhout of the Arizona Flames won the intermediate girls (16u) 2000 meter steeplechase in 7 minutes, 24.25 seconds.

Besides Green and Cord, several Arizona athletes placed in multi-events.

Kory Wilson of Northwest Xpress was second in the midget boys (12u) pentathlon with 2404 points. He was edged out for the top spot by Jordan Birch, competing unattached, who had 2466.

Ervin Jones of the Phoenix Bobcats finished third in the young men’s (18u) decathlon. Jones finished with 5488 points.

Cadijah Harris of the Arizona Cheetahs came in fifth in the intermediate girls (16u) heptahlon with 4084 points. Jalissa Smith of the Arizona Flames Track Club was sixth in the midget girls (12u) pentathlon, amassing 1940 points.
