The Titans won routed the Dons 25-5 in the first game but had to rally from two points down to win the second game 26-24.

Arcadia coach Shawn Huffman said he was very pleased with the win and the team’s effort, singling out the play of setter Kendra Flynn and middle hitter Maise Tuipulotu.

Coronado won the freshman match in two straight games.

Coach Kristen Adams was still pleased with her team’s performance.

“They’re a great group of girls and are working hard on the fundamentals and improving their technique,” she said.

Adams praised Tia Schmittenberg, Mckenna Daniel, Brittany Gantert and Kate Staudemaier for their play in the loss.
