Other key players, he said, included junior Chloe Fenney and seniors Maddie Thorn and Megan Mittendorf.
The Titans started the second game winning five of the first seven points. Izzy Miller ended rally after rally with her powerful spikes.
The Dons made a furious comeback. coming within a point of the Titans on several occasions. The rally ended when sophomore Jenson Barton, playing in her first varsity game, slammed home a comeback-killing spike.
In the third game, the Titans won seven consecutive points after the Dons opened with two quick points. Coronado continued to play hard and chip away at the Titans’ lead, but Arcadia won 5 straight points to secure the win.
Coronados coach Rick Sharp said the Titans were a talented team and that it would take a well played game to beat them. He added that his Coronado team played “close to well.”
