Tempe defeated Maricopa in girls volleyball Tuesday at Tempe High School, winning the last three sets.
The Buffaloes won 15-25, 19-25, 25-17, 25-17, 19-17 despite playing without their starting setter.
Breshae Bellamy, a Tempe junior middle hitter, thought the turning point in the game was the third set when the Buffaloes went on a six-point streak.
“I think we did pretty well in all,” Bellamy said, “considering our setter wasn’t here and we had to change the line up.”
The change did not seem to affect the girls once they got rolling and pulled out the win making their record 2-7.
Rams coach Paul Olsen said, “I think we had moments were we played incredibly well. But we also lost focus in some places at the wrong time.” |
