Cisco Black forwards Cesar Sotelo Rodriguez and Jonathan Burgos-Lopez accounted for all five of Cisco’s goals Saturday in their 5-1 victory over SC del Sol Jones in U11 boys State Cup play at Westside Sports Complex.

Burgos-Lopez scored from midfield beyond the opponent’s penalty box just eight minutes into the game. After a del Sol goal, Sotelo Rodriguez scored the first of his three goals. Sotelo Rodriguez’s goal was quickly followed up by another Burgos-Lopez score.

In the second half, it was all Sotelo Rodriguez, as he scored two more goals, the first being a laser into the top left of the net and the second an easy put in off of a goalie fumble.

“Going in as a number-one seed, our job is to defend that,” Cisco coach Ramiz Sabljic said. “If they [his players] keep doing what they’re doing, I think we’ll be fine.”
