The 96 Alliance defeated the 96 TSA Red 1-0 Saturday at Red Mountain Park in first-round action at the Sereno Classic Tournament at Red Mountain Park in Mesa.

The only goal was scored by Jazz Mader, who finished a shot into the right corner after receiving a pass across the box from Brenna Leftwich.

In the second half the teams had equal possession, and there were some very close chances and great saves.

“I am happy we won,” said Alliance coach Mark Wilson. “But I wish we would have scored more.”
