On a cold night at Arcadia High School, the Titans' boys soccer team beat McClintock High School 3-0 Thursday.

In the first-half of the game, a struggling McClintock tried hard to keep the Titans away from the goal. However, a weak defense and great ball handling skills enable Leo Luna to mark the first goal only six minutes into the game.

McClintock tried to reconfigure their formation by switching a few players, but the Titans dominated the first half. Jordon Firman showed superb dribbling skills when he kept possession of the ball for three-fourths of the field and almost scored right before intermission.

Arcadia scored its second goal just two minutes into the second half. Harry Norem marked a beautiful goal after his teammates created space and he ran to the door in an open field.

Fifteen minutes later, it was Fernando Vengas’ turn to make this game memorable by scoring the third and last goal after a beautiful pass by a forward-line player.

“We are very happy about the outcome of this season,” said Rob Reniewicki, coach for the Titans. “We are doing much better than last year, and we have some very good players that I am sure will have a wonderful soccer career.”
