Wildfire pitcher Lynsey Duncan pitched a complete game, settling down after the Sunscats scored both of their runs in the second inning. Sarah Northam hit a sacrifice fly to left, and then Carli Campbell hit into a fielder’s choice to drive in a run. The Cats never threatened to score again.

Madie McAfee singled in a run as the Wildfire scored in the first off Mara Kimmer, who also went the distance and pitched a strong game.

Taylor Wetzel then drove in the tying run and the winning run, the first on a sacrifice fly to score Alex Wiley in the third and the game-winning sac fly in the fifth.
