The Wolves were against the ropes throughout much of the game, as the Fever got off to a 2-0 lead in the first.  With the help of heads-up in fielding, Fever pitcher Brooke Hughes had a perfect game through three.

The fourth-inning rally was led by Kori Gahn, who hit a two-run triple. Hannah Mabrey added an RBI double to extend the lead to 6-3.

Shockwave wins 14u

In the 14uB division, the Shockwave got the better outcome from a pitching duel, defeating a passionate AZ Dynasty 2-0.

The game was scoreless for five innings. The tie was finally broken up in the top of the sixth when Sabrina Nieto scored on a wild pitch. Savannah Kirkpatrick provided extra cushion, scoring off an RBI double by Rachel Cruz. The two-run lead was all the Shockwave needed for pitcher Dee Nelson.

The tournament, which had been delayed for two weekends, went off without a hitch under perfect sunshine.
