Kaylin Ayotte worked out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the fourth inning Sunday, leading Team Arizona past the Arizona Dynasty 5-0 to win the 14uB TCS State Championship at Papago Park.

Alyssa DiCarlo, Jaymee Lawton and Tianna Salazar of Dynasty loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth with no outs.

Ayotte struck out the next batter for the first out and got two pop flies to end the threat and preserve a shutout in the battle between two 12u teams playing up.

Team Arizona played strong defense behind Ayotte. Dynasty’s Valerie Vidal hit a line drive in the third that was caught by Shea Smith at short.

Ayotte had three hits in the game. Shea Smith and Sierra Smith had two hits each. Angelique Elemen was robbed of a hit by Dynasty’s Alexis Gonzalez.
