Kenzie Fowler pitched a two-hit shutout in the first game Sunday as Arizona split a doubleheader with Missouri at Hillenbrand Stadium in Tucson.
Fowler, a former CDO star, struck out nine as the Wildcats beat the Tigers 5-0. The Tigers got their offense going in the second game, beating Arizona 10-5. It was the most runs scored against the Wildcats since March 18, 2007.
In the first game, Baillie Kirker hit two homers to drive in all five runs for Arizona.
In the second game, Cactus graduate Stacie Chambers homered, Sunrise Mountain graduate Brigette del Ponte homered and former Horizon star Becca Tikey was hit by a pitch and scored a run. |
